walton & Hersham 2 CFC youth 4a good hatrick from michael hicks was enough to win at stompond lane
finding themselves 1 down after a couple of minutes CFC battled back into the game with Chris Rousell making a couple of good saves to keep us in it then two from Hicks took us into the break 2-1.
A 3rd was added By Yasher whilst most were still making there way back from the Bar. Walton got themselves back in it when a goal mouth scramble fell kindly to them to poke home from a few yards the lads fought back and it took a fine save from Chris kept us ahead Hicks went on to complete his hatrick with a fine chip from a tight angle. The travelling supporters where even treated to a wave from "Barry"

Monday 25th FebRaynes Park Vale 3 (1) - CFC youth 3 (2) Hicks Baker Hicks
Mid week league match away at raynes park saw the youth side come back from 1 down with two goals from Michael Hicks and a Bobby Baker freekick to put them 3-1 up.
but as usual in this league there are no easy matches and Raynes park worked hard to peg the lads back to 3-3 draw leaving the youth side still third in the league

Tonights resultCFC 3 (1) Woking Whites 2 (0)
A superb all round performance saw the youth team turn in a display that has been on the cards for some time. Some fine build up play down the left resulted in the ball being rolled into nick Hughes who from 35yards let fly his shot was deflected to Shane Rideout who shot home from 18yards. Michael Hicks was brought down in the box. Shane Rideout penalty was well saved by the woking keeper, and a fine one handed save by chris rousell on the stroke of half time sent in the home side 1-0 up. Woking drew level shortly after the restart with a well taken goal. Back came the youth side. With Michael hicks given us a 2-1 lead. but from the restart woking equalized. and with 10 minutes to go a corner found Shane Rideout who volleyed home from the edge of the 18 yard box . the game finished 3-2 with Cobham leaping over Woking to go joint top with Ashford Town

last nightlast night the youths were at home to table topping ashford town following the 5-1 hammeering at the start of the season it was a confident youth side that now how as a settled look to it with the ever impressive george leading a 451 formation yet again he never stopped his hard work and it is just reward for an improving fitness and tireless work. however ashford ran out 2-1 winners when a draw would have been a fairer result. With both ashford forwards at least 3-4 yards off side and with the back 4 appealing in vain, the assistant ref was struggling to keep up with the pace of the youngsters a feature we often experience at this level, The forward chipped chris and turned to celebrate however tom stratful chased it down and managed to hook it away only to see it fall kindly to the other striker who tapped in. it wasnt long before we experienced our own slice of luck with bobs long range effort coming back off the bar only to hit the keeper in the back of the head and bounce back into the goal and so it remained until just before the break when once more the offside trap was sprung and again chris was lobbed and that was how it was to remain with both sides not really carving out much in the 2nd half
so next up woking away on tuesday at kingfield stadium it would be good if they had some support down there
