Let's sort this out!!!I have been watching a first team match here and there this year and can never say the boys who represent the club give up and do not try. However, it seems we are lacking confidence during results and a killer edge to take our chances. When I have gone I have talked to some boys who watch the games from time to time who seem injured or possibly part of the club. I heard that there is no training whatsoever in this club, and that is a major problem for a team fighting relegation. It also seems odd that we play a 4-5-1 at home when we have one of the poorest defensive records around. I watched our last game when we came back but still to lose 3-2. We did not put a single cross in until our first goal where the ginger haired fellow put in a decent ball. Tactical issues also seem to not work in terms of having the two smallest young men at full back positions and a person in midfield who never puts in a tackle, a decent pass or a decent run. I have watched the reserves play a few times too and it is very encouraging to see a team, (that is changed every match!), play well and gain results leading them to be near the top of their division. It can only be sooner than later to bring in these reserve team players who are playing with a smile in their face and playing well themselves! This manager should see how lucky he is to have a strong set of players throughout the club especially the youth system as two boys, or young men, are constant features in the first team and do themselves proud. It pains me to see many family members and players on the touchline watch the first team drop points game after game when they do not deserve it but I feel something has to be changed to get this club up the table where it deserves.
Merry Christmas

The only reason we don’t have training during the week is because a lot of people are unable to reach Cobham at a late hour when they work all day and miles away from the club. Also if you have been watching our first team and looking at our results/fixtures you will realise we play midweek games too. Therefore the boys need their rest inbetween matches and with reserves playing midweek too there would never be enough numbers. And as for formations its up to the manager what we play and he decides the formation based on the players he has. And as for having a go at our two full backs Joey and Mike Lee, I don’t think anyone complained when they put in great performances against Leatherhead in the cup and against Raynes Park Vale. As you said you can never say the boys don’t try I think this is shown by the performance against Raynes Park Vale and the fact that we seem to bo at our best the last 20 minutes possibly due to determination and fitness levels. With the reserves I can only give a biased view, due to it being my dad who manages the side, but you seem shocked that it is changed every week. The reason for this is players being called up or being missing. Proof that Ken does call up reserve team players on merit but the few who are called up here and there clearly don’t perform well enough to hold a place in first team squad or team. I’m shocked to think that youth team players should be called up in your eyes because we do well in our matches. I thought a man of your clear ‘experience’ would know that there is a huge gap between youth and reserves, and lets not even consider bringing in fifteen and sixteen year olds into the first team when they are going against men who don’t care what age they are. I think you should consider what you are saying here in terms of slagging off the first team manager and the club in general. We are a true football club, we have no money no one gets paid here except for win bonuses, the managers work tirelessly to get teams out each week and let us wear the Cobham kit and they don’t ask for one penny. That goes the same for people like Manuel and Russ who do all sorts of jobs round the club and Tracey, Kelly and Jane who do everything from sandwhiches to working behind the cafe. I think you should think before you try to pick holes out of this club mate.
Oh and Merry xmas!!!!!
